The head of Roscosmos Borisov announced the creation of a super heavy launcher in Russia

Yury Borisov, director general of the state corporation Roscosmos, said that in 2024 the process of creating a super heavy launcher will be launched in Russia. Moreover, such an order was given by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

“I have an instruction from the president to create this carrier from next year. God forbid,” Borisov told the Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival (IFF) in Kaluga.

At the same time, the head of Roscosmos pointed out that it would take 8-10 years to develop the rocket.

Recall that on Astronautics Day, April 12, the head of Roscosmos Yuri Borisov met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. During the meeting with Borisov, the head of state stressed the importance of space exploration for humanity.
