New Delhi. People walking on the road were surprised when suddenly it started raining currency notes. A man in a car started throwing bundles of notes through the window. He blew not one or two but more than one and a half crore rupees in the air. The man says that he wanted to gift something to others. That’s why cash was blown on the busy road. The case pertains to the Oregon State of America.
The man who threw the note from the moving car has been identified as 38-year-old Colin Davis McCarthy, the Daily Star reported. Colin threw cash close to two thousand dollars (more than Rs 1 crore, 63 lakh) out of the car window. As soon as he started throwing bundles of notes, passers-by started competing to rob him.
However, some people appealed to Colin not to do so. Because an accident could have happened due to his action. Meanwhile, as soon as the police came to know about the incident on Eugene Highway, it reached the spot. The police team chased and stopped Colin and took possession of the bundle of notes.
Money was withdrawn from parents’ account It was told that Colin and his parents had a joint bank account. He had withdrawn money from this account. Taking the money, he boarded the car and then left for the highway. Here Colin opened the window of the moving car and started tossing bundles of notes one by one in the air. During this, many passers-by started collecting notes.
An eyewitness told the police that there was a long queue of vehicles on the road. Meanwhile, a person (Colin) was throwing notes from the car. Some people were even trying to pick up notes by going to the middle of the road. It is fortunate that no accident happened.
At present, the police have registered a case against Colin. Is being investigated. The police is also contacting his family members. So that it can be found out from where so much money came.
