First motion poster of Muttiah Muralitharan’s biopic ‘800’ released on his birthday

On Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan’s 51st birthday, film production company Movie Train Motion Pictures released the first motion poster of his biopic ‘800’.

Sharing the poster of the film on social media platform Twitter on Monday, the makers wrote, “We are proud to present his story beyond 22 yards pitch.”

The film was written and directed by M.S. Sripati has done it. In this, the role of Muralitharan is played by actor Madhur Mittal. The film has been named ‘800’ after Muttiah Muralitharan’s record of taking 800 wickets in Test cricket.

Muralitharan has played 133 Tests, 350 ODIs and 12 T20 Internationals in his career.

He took 800 wickets in the longest format of cricket (Test cricket), 534 wickets in ODI cricket and 13 wickets in T20 cricket. He was also a part of Sri Lanka’s ODI World Cup winning team in 1996. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.
