On April 18, in Kursk, they discussed the development of physical culture and sports in the region.
A meeting of the Coordinating Council on the development of physical culture and sports was held at the KSU site. It was headed by Governor Roman Starovoit. The forum summarized last year’s results.
It was noted that in 2022, an athletics arena is being built in the Kursk region, two sports complexes and 4 venues have been opened in municipal districts to comply with the standards of the TRP complex. More than 400 all-Russian and regional competitions took place during the year.
Last year, more than 54% of Kursk residents aged 3 to 79 regularly play sports, the regional administration reported.
At the council meeting, the head of the region presented Kursk athletes with certificates of masters of sports of the Russian Federation.
