Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about his recent trip to the Special Military Operations Zone in Ukraine. In particular, the head of state paid a visit to the Lugansk People’s Republic. He was embarrassed by the situation at the border with the LPR and the procedure for checking motor vehicles.
According to Vladimir Putin, a large line of cars was seen at the republic checkpoint. Additionally, the transport has a civilian – not military – affiliation. According to the President of the Russian Federation, employees of the checkpoint should check cars faster so as not to create traffic jams. In addition, the Russian leader stressed the need to expand the passage corridor and place more inspection facilities there.
To solve the problems, the representatives of the local security service will soon turn to the government for funds. Therefore, their demands must be met, Putin said.
The President’s statement also notes that the road after the checkpoint in the LPR is being repaired. Its quality, despite the preservation of previous properties, leaves much to be desired.
