Zakharova spoke about the “tough” conversation with Western ambassadors

April 19, 2023

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova announced a “difficult” conversation with the ambassadors of the United States, Great Britain and Canada

Recently, the ambassadors of Great Britain, Canada and the United States were summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted that the conversation was difficult.

“Yesterday they were summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, everything was explained to them, and so in a harsh tone, without any, you know, desire to soften something, to slow down in a way, no, of course “, said the diplomat.

It is specified that Western diplomats were summoned on the occasion of the conviction of Vladimir Kara-Murza (listed in the register of foreign agents). Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova stressed that if ambassadors from Western countries continue to behave in this way, their behavior will be forced as incompatible with the declared status.

Recall that on April 17, the Moscow City Court sentenced Kara-Murza to 25 years in a strict regime colony for treason and discrediting the Russian army.
