Evacuations of foreign nationals and diplomats from Sudan continued by a large number of countries, at a time when the battles between the army and the Rapid Support Forces entered their second week. Today, Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Italy and South Korea announced the evacuation of dozens of their nationals from Sudan directly or through other countries to their final destination. The Spanish Foreign Minister, JosĂ© Manuel Albarez, announced that his country had evacuated Spanish nationals from Sudan, including its embassy staff, as well as citizens of other countries. And Albarez wrote, through his official account on the social networking site / Twitter / yesterday evening / Sunday /: "Air Force planes have just taken off from Khartoum carrying our nationals and (staff) of the Spanish Embassy in Sudan". According to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spain has evacuated more than 30 Spaniards and about 70 nationals of other nationalities from Sudan. In Rome.. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced the evacuation of all her citizens who requested to leave Sudan, and called for "End the war and start negotiations". Meloni said in a statement "All our citizens who asked to leave have been evacuated"And they also have foreign nationals with them. The Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Taiani had said earlier that the Italian army evacuated "About 200 people, including Swiss citizens and members of the Vatican Embassy, ​​board a plane bound for Djibouti". In turn, South Korea announced today the arrival of a plane carrying 29 South Korean citizens from Port Sudan to Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia. Military operations continue between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces, causing severe humanitarian and livelihood damage, amid expectations of continued fighting without a horizon for an urgent solution.
