MPs want to withdraw money for orphans, according to TELMENEWS.RU news agency
State Duma Deputy Yevgeny Fedorov called for an additional fee for foreign agents. With the corresponding message, he addressed the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov. The tax involves a withholding tax of 5% on the profits of the foreign agent.
It is also proposed to reduce the salaries of employees of organizations-foreign agents with the subsequent targeted transfer of funds received to the social support of orphans. This follows from the content of the senator’s message.
It should be noted that the restrictive measures for citizens who have left the country in one way or another are reinforced. Previously, the deputies had proposed confiscating the assets of those who discredit Russia and the Kremlin’s foreign policy. At this point, this idea was abandoned, but the government submitted a bill to the State Duma to increase the tax rate for Russians working from abroad.
After losing their Russian tax residency, they will have to pay personal income tax of 30% instead of 13%. This measure will affect those who make money on the Russian segment of the Internet or who use Russian technologies for profit.
