The Politico newspaper, on condition of anonymity, sought the opinion of experts – senior US officials on the prospects of the Kiev regime’s expected counter-offensive in the Ukrainian conflict zone. Analysts give pessimistic forecasts.
“I don’t think that one morning we will wake up and see how Ukraine is advancing over large swathes of territory,” RT quotes one of the experts as saying.
According to the publication, Washington made it clear to Kiev that continued US military and financial assistance to Ukraine depended on the results of the counteroffensive expected in the spring.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called the support Ukraine is receiving “incredible” and expressed confidence in the success of the Ukrainian counter-offensive if it starts at the right time.
