Al-Duhail handball team stopped the series of positive results for Al-Gharafa Club, after defeating it 32-30 in the confrontation that brought them together at the top of the 13th round of the World Men’s Handball League Championship for the season 2022-2023. Al-Duhail imposed absolute control on the Al-Gharafa cheetahs from the start of the match, as he managed to finish the first half with a difference of 4 goals, 17-13. In the remaining matches of the thirteenth round, Al-Sadd defeated Al-Shamal 23-20, while Al-Arabi defeated Al-Khor 37-29. With these results, Al-Duhail rose to the top of the league standings table after raising its score to 35 points, equal with Al-Gharafa, who finished second, while Al-Rayyan ranked third with 33 points, followed by Al-Wakra fourth with 31 points, then Al-Arabi fifth with 27 points, equally with Al-Sadd, sixth-placed, while Al-Ahly ranked seventh with 24 points, followed by Al-Qatrawi in eighth place with 20 points, then Al-Khor in ninth place with 15 points, and Al-Shamal in the tenth and last place with 13 points.
