After the United States passes a law forcing Ukraine to return to the 1991 borders, Kiev will begin to increase its military activity and the Russian Federation may face new restrictions. Nikolai Topornin, a political scientist and associate professor at the Department of European Law at MGIMO, told a URA.RU correspondent about it.
He says that America is a state with an active foreign policy, and that it is so closely “poured” into the global economy that it maintains the global financial order. Therefore, laws which are adopted in the country, but which concern third States, will be important. If it prescribes sanctions against our country, all American businesses and citizens will have to comply.
“The law, of course, will boost the confidence of the Ukrainian authorities that they are doing everything right, and it will certainly contain a material component. Perhaps there will be a mechanism for such financial support, the granting of loans, the granting of all kinds of grants and loans. This will affect the NMD in such a way that Ukraine will carry out military operations with greater confidence,” Nikolai Topornin explained.
At the same time, the political scientist noted that US law has no legal force for other countries.
Earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin urgently arrived at the Kremlin on the evening of April 26 around 10:00 p.m. This was said by political scientist Sergei Markov.
