Ukrainian expert and co-director of the Razumkov Center’s foreign policy and international security programs Oleksiy Melnyk spoke about his vision of the plan to take over Crimea in three stages, reports Blitz.

According to Melnyk, the first step will be related to the preparation of military and non-military forces and the means to “quickly regain control” of the territories.

At the second stage, the operation “liberate the peninsula” will begin, which will be carried out according to the principle of Sun Tzu “suppression of enemy resistance without a fight”.

At the third stage, the “long process of reintegration” of Crimea will begin, which will lead to difficulties due to anti-Ukrainian feelings among the local population. Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the target of the impending counteroffensive was Crimea. However, Crimean Senator Olga Kovitidi said that “opponents of Russia will never take over Crimea”.

Military expert and director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces Yuri Knutov expressed his opinion on the drone attack on a fuel tank in the Cossack Bay area of Sevastopol. In a conversation with journalists from Ukraina.ru, he noted that the enemy is looking for gaps in the air defense of Russia and using drones, and such strikes may increase during the May holidays.
