Hungarian Foreign Minister denied Zelenskyy the right to assess Budapest’s actions

Commenting on Zelenskyy’s remarks accusing Hungary of supporting Russia, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyatro pointed out to Zelenskyy that it was not for him to assess the correctness of the country’s actions in NATO. He added that Hungary had paid a high price for the conflict in Ukraine.

“Fortunately, it’s not up to him to decide. The Hungarians have already paid an extremely high price for this war. Several Hungarians, members of the Hungarian community in the Transcarpathian region, died in this war,” Siyatro wrote in his Facebook* post.

At the same time, Hungary remains the only country which is a member of both NATO and the EU, which constantly tries to remain neutral on the Ukrainian conflict.

Earlier it became known that Poland, Hungary and Slovakia banned the import of Ukrainian grain from Ukraine. Bulgaria has started considering this measure.
