Musician Jon Bon Jovi responds to criticism over the engagement of his son, Jake Bongiovi, and actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Jake tied the knot in April, but the couple have come under fire for being too young to get engaged. Jake is 20 and Millie is 19.

Bon Jovi does not listen to criticism and celebrates the engagement of his son.

“I don’t know if age matters,” he said when asked if he was worried they were too young. E ! News reports.

“If you find the right partner and grow together, I think that would be my advice: growing together is smart.” I think all of my kids have found the people they think they can grow up with and we all love them,” he said on the Andy Cohen Live radio show yesterday.

Bon Jovi married childhood sweetheart Dorothea Hurley in 1989. Together they have children Stephanie, 29, Jesse, 28, Jake, 20, and Romeo, 19.

“Millie is adorable and her family is really awesome. Jake is very, very happy,” the singer said.

Millie and Jake announced their engagement on April 11. They have been together for two years.
