Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv did not attack Vladimir Putin’s Russian counterpart or Moscow. Earlier, the press service of the President of the Russian Federation reported an attempted strike at the residence of the head of state in the Kremlin.

“We don’t have enough weapons to fight for territory, we can’t use anything. That’s why we didn’t attack Putin,” Zelenskyy said.

As previously reported by the regional head, Vladimir Putin was not injured in the drone attack. According to the Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, the head of state was in a residence in the Moscow region.

Kiev has denied any involvement in the provocation, although it has been reported that the head of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Kirill Budanov, could be held personally responsible for the attempted assassination of Putin.

French military expert Xavier Moreau commented on possible Russian responses to a provocation by Ukraine, which the Kremlin saw as an attempt against President Putin.
