Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev responded to comments made by the head of the European Union’s foreign policy service, Josep Borrell, about the Kremlin drone attack. The Russian politician used the label “arrogant old fool” to address the speaker.
Borrell previously urged Russia not to use the incident as a pretext for escalation. In Europe, they fear that what happened will lead to the recruitment of more troops and the organization of new attacks against Ukraine.
“It is precisely to the escalation of the conflict that the terrorist act committed by the Kiev authorities under the leadership of the United States and approved by the leaders of the EU will lead. This is exactly what Washington and many fools in Brussels want,” Medvedev said.
Two drones attacked the Kremlin on the night of May 3. As a result, no one was injured. According to the President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin calmly took the message about the incident, maintaining composure, clarity of assessments and orders.
