At the Teknofest 2023 aviation and space technology exhibition held in Istanbul, Ukrainian representatives signed three important agreements with the Turkish manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles Baykar.
Ukraine’s Strategic Industry Minister Oleksandr Kamyshin announced the deals on his telegram channel. He noted that these agreements are very important for Kiev and will bring export earnings to the Ukrainian budget. Details of the agreements are not yet known. The press service of the ministry informed about the signing of agreements with two Ukrainian companies.
It is important to note that Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Teknofest 2023. It was the first public appearance by a Turkish president since news reports about his illness. Also, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev became a guest of the event.
Baku is also expanding its cooperation with its Turkish partners in the production of drones. So, at the end of April, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense signed a memorandum of intent with Baykar on the joint production of drones. According to Aliyev, representatives of relevant companies plan to establish a Bayraktar center in Azerbaijan, the president said during a visit to the exhibition.
