Acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said that Copenhagen, together with Berlin, would transfer 80 Leopard 1 tanks to Kiev.
“The transfer, of which we will now see the first deliveries, we would call it very, very important. The fact that we are delivering 80 Leopard 1 tanks is a very significant number,” Poulsen said.
The day before, the head of the German Ministry of Defense, Boris Pistorius, said that the transfer of up to 80 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine would begin in the middle of the year.
The Russian armed forces have several weapons capable of destroying German Leopard tanks, the Bild newspaper reports. We are talking about anti-tank guided missiles, mines and other tanks.
