Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

In Germany, vandals desecrated the Seelow Heights memorial to Soviet soldiers

At the Seelow Heights Memorial Complex in Germany, unknown vandals desecrated the graves of Red Army soldiers. Headstones in 14 graves were damaged and partially destroyed. This was reported to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Germany.

“It is particularly cynical that this heinous crime was committed on the eve of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War,” the diplomatic mission said.

Local authorities were immediately notified of the incident. Additionally, a protest note was sent to the German Foreign Office with a request to find the perpetrators and provide security for the memorial.

Recall that recently, in the Moldavian village of Koshnitsa, vandals broke the granite slabs of the monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Criminal proceedings have been opened against the perpetrators.

Earlier, vandals destroyed the monument to Red Army soldiers near the village of Ivancha in Moldova. The attackers sawed the monument for scrap metal.
