The association consists of 18 founding members of musicians in various artistic fields, and 9 members were chosen for the association’s board of directors, headed by composer Ihab Darwish, and members: Tariq Al-Minhali, Hamad Al-Ta’i, Eman Al-Hashemi, Ali Rashid, Ilham Al-Marzouqi, Saqr bin Khalid Al-Qasimi, Muhammad Al-Jahuri and Tarish Khamis Al-Hashemi.

On this occasion, Ehab Darwish, the president of the association and composer, spoke at the launch ceremony on the objectives of the association and its role in empowering Emirati musicians and supporting talent.

He said the association aims to develop and empower the community of Emirati musicians, establish and consolidate professional standards for them, educate and develop the talents and skills of new generations and advance their excellence, in addition to strengthening and introducing the local musician industry. globally.

He added that the association has several tasks, including identifying and discovering musical talent in the UAE, establishing a database of musicians of various artistic experiences, supporting the representation of musicians in forums , national and international platforms and events, and the facilitation of communication between local and global musicians and artists.

He explained that the association is working on the implementation of training programs by developing specialized and multi-stage musical programs according to the skills and experience of singers and soloists in coordination with strategic partners and by implementing implements theoretical musical educational courses in cooperation with specialists and technicians from various musical fields. the fields.

Darwish pointed out that the association plays an important role as a reference system for music in the country by issuing permits for the exercise of musical professions, similar to international associations and unions, in cooperation with the competent authorities, by establishing cooperation bridges with the musical associations of the Gulf. Cooperation Council countries, the Arab world and the world, and activate the role of Emirati artists by providing opportunities for cooperation in various artistic fields such as photography, art direction, graphics and design.

He stressed that the association will work to empower the national music education system, improve arts education in the UAE and coordinate with specialized agencies to develop proposals for curricula and programs of music education to prepare a new generation of emerging talent, including the adoption of the GCSE global education programs for arts and music in line with systems and standards adopted in the country.

For her part, Elham Al Marzouqi, musician and cellist, believed that the creation of the association is the greatest support for all the expert musicians and promising talents in various fields and the creation of a new generation formed musically through the education and training programs provided by the association as well as empowering Emirati musicians to be the best ambassadors of the UAE in internal and external forums and various artistic events.. expressing her pride in being chosen as vice-president of the board of directors, emphasizing that she will volunteer all her experiences and musical abilities in the service of the Association.

Putting its expertise at the service of Emirati art

The musician and composer of the orchestra, Iman Al Hashemi, who was chosen as a member of the board of directors and treasurer of the association, underlined that the implementation of this project comes to put musical expertise at the service of the Emirati art, especially since the promising experiments of recent years.

Al-Hashemi confirmed that there are many professional musicians who have familiarized themselves with what is happening in the Arab and international music scene, explaining that she will work diligently with the team of the association which has been chosen to form this unique project, which is a real addition to the music scene in the Emirates.

The artist and composer Tariq Al-Minhali expressed his pride in being chosen as the second vice-president of the board of directors and secretary of the association, considering that it is a great responsibility for him and each musician of the association. ‘association.


He said the association’s role is to empower Emirati musicians inside and outside the country and to represent Emirati musicians and singers in international forums and events of the music movement in the Emirates in general.
