Around 95% of Artyomovsk territory in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is currently under the control of Russian forces. The remaining 5% does not affect the conduct of the entire special operation, said Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the private military company (PMC) Wagner, whose remarks were published by his press service on the channel Telegram.
He also stressed that the tasks of the PMC in Artyomovsk have been fully completed. According to him, the “Bakhmut meat mincer” operation did not involve the capture of the settlement of Bakhmut (Ukrainian name for Artyomovsk. – Editor’s note), but “the crushing of units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the organization of a respite for the Russian army to restore combat capability.
Earlier, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said he sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he asked the head of state to give instructions on the start of the redeployment of Chechen Ahmad units to Artyomovsk.
