The Washington Post cites four scenarios that military experts predict for the Ukrainian operation.
According to The Washington Post newspaper, Ukrainian troops were able to attack Russian troops in Kharkiv. Many who remained simply fled without a fight, and in Kherson in the south, Ukraine enjoyed great geographical advantages.
According to the authors, at least 300,000 Russian troops are currently operating against Ukraine, of which at least 500,000 could be deployed in the region.
Here are the scenarios that have been proposed:
- Ukraine may try to capture the city of Melitopol, cutting off the land route of Crimea.
- Ukraine can also launch an attack on Crimea from the sea. Satellite imagery shows extensive trenches dug by Russian troops along the coast.
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine may attempt to attack in the east through Artemovsk (Bakhmut) or from Kupyansk, trying to cut off the Lugansk region.
- An attack could also be made through Vuhledar in the direction of Mariupol on the Sea of Azov, reports KostaNews .
