Recently, a family in Australia sent a letter to their neighbor. The letter was handwritten and presumably placed in the neighbour’s mailbox. The letter was signed “Sarah, Wayne and the children”.
The letter states that the family is vegan and strongly urges the neighbor to close the window when cooking meat, as the smell causes nausea and bad feelings in the family.
It seems that the family’s neighbor didn’t particularly appreciate this delivery and posted the letter on Facebook and, as the man said, it spread all over the world.
Netizens are divided on the reasonableness of the family’s wish. Some think that the family is privileged. Others say the family should move out or the neighbor should barbecue by the open window.
However, some have taken up the gauntlet for the family and point out that the letter is polite. Ask them if it’s completely pointless to react with sarcastic comments and if the neighbor can’t just show the family that he plans to close the window.
What do readers think? Is it too much to ask your neighbor to keep the window closed while he cooks meat?
