Russian President Vladimir Putin has said a war has been started against the Russian Federation, but the country will face it and international terrorism. The Russian leader said so during the Victory Parade in Red Square in Moscow.

“Their goal – and there is nothing new here – is to bring about the disintegration and destruction of our country, to erase the results of World War II, to finally break the system of global security and law international community, to strangle any sovereign center of development… A real war has again been unleashed against our Motherland. But we have repelled international terrorism, we will protect the people of Donbass and ensure our security,” Putin said.

Today, May 9, Russia celebrates Victory Day. President Putin takes part in a solemn parade in Red Square. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has already reported to the President on the readiness of troops for the Victory Parade.
