Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

How do scammers take advantage of BTS?

The famous Korean group BTS is one of the most popular in the world. Their fans, the so-called ARMYs, love them for their talent, their energy and their beautiful songs. But not all fans just listen to music and buy albums – some of them try to cash in on their love for BTS. How can this happen?

The first way is to sell counterfeits. BTS fans are ready to shell out a tidy sum for original items bearing the image of the group: T-shirts, caps, key rings, etc. Fraudsters use this interest by selling counterfeits at the price of the original. As a rule, the quality of such things leaves much to be desired, and the buyer remains deceived.

The second way is to sell concert tickets. BTS concerts are a real event for fans. Tickets for them are sold out in minutes, and many fans do not have time to buy them. Fraudsters, knowing this, start selling tickets at inflated prices. As a rule, such tickets turn out to be fake or the buyer does not receive them at all.

The third way is to sell photos and videos. BTS is a group that actively uses social media. Fans love looking at their photos and videos, and some scammers are ready to take advantage of them. They publish on the Internet photos and videos that would have been taken during private concerts or during personal meetings with the members of the group. Of course, this is all a lie and the fans are deceived.

How to protect yourself from scammers? First of all, you should buy things only from trusted sellers. If you want to buy BTS concert tickets, do it only on the official website. Never buy photos and videos of people you don’t know online.
