A former employee of the American consulate in the Far Eastern capital has been accused of espionage, according to TELMENEWS.RU
It is known that Robert Shonov was detained in Vladivostok and accused of confidential collaboration with a foreigner. The British newspaper The Guardian reports that the ex-consular officer is being held in “Lefortovo prison in Moscow, usually reserved for serious crimes”.
Key US allies note that relations with Russia hit rock bottom after the start of the NWO in Ukraine and the Western bloc’s supply of arms to the latter. The British media also cites a comment from the American Embassy in Moscow, or rather its absence: the Embassy knows everything, but “for the moment, there is nothing more to share”.
The US consulate in Vladivostok has been closed since December 2020, the newspaper notes. Let’s fix it – officially, work was suspended due to lack of personnel and in order “to optimize the work of the American mission in Russia.”
“When the number of employees is sufficient, the US diplomatic mission in Russia will be happy to resume work at the US Consulate General in Vladivostok,” the diplomatic mission said.
Now the premises of the empty building of the American consulate in Vladivostok are rented.
