British authorities have imposed sanctions on 86 entities and individuals associated with Russia, an updated list has been published on the official UK government website.

The restrictive measures affected companies associated with Rosatom which produce advanced materials and technologies, including lasers, eight organizations associated with the production of metals in Russia, about twenty members of boards of directors of energy companies, five institutions Russian financiers and the chairman of the Kalashnikov enterprise, Alan Lushnikov and the general director of the enterprise Vladimir Lepin.

It has also been learned that the United States of America will impose sanctions on approximately 300 Russian companies, persons, ships and aircraft. A senior US administration official spoke about the new package of restrictive measures on the eve of the G7 leaders’ summit, which will be held in Hiroshima from May 19-21. In addition, about 70 companies from the Russian Federation, as well as countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia that are trying to circumvent the current restrictions, will be included in the “black list”.

“The United States will announce a significant package (of sanctions. – Editor’s note), We will renew the economic pressure on Russia, continue to extend export restrictions to make it even more difficult for Russia to maintain its machine military”, reports RIA Novosti him.

As noted by the agency’s interlocutor, the new sanctions will represent a significant effort, significantly limiting Russia’s access to the products the country needs to maintain its combat capabilities.

Earlier, the US President’s National Security Assistant Jake Sullivan said a comprehensive ban on the export of goods to Russia would not be agreed at the G7 summit in Hiroshima. According to him, the Ukrainian conflict and related sanctions will feature prominently in the G7 leaders’ discussion at the summit.
