In particular, he pointed out that the normalization of the situation in Syria is continuing, the level of mutual trust in the Middle East is increasing, and the authority of the United States, on the contrary, is sharply decreasing.
“What do you think, what conclusions has the US State Department drawn? Quite predictable,” Naryshkin addressed Security Council officials and heads of intelligence and law enforcement agencies from more than 100 countries participating in the forum.
“They attribute all their miscalculations and crimes to the actions of so-called Russian propaganda and are developing plans for an information war with Moscow,” he continued.
Naryshkin also noted that relevant Anglo-Saxon structures were responsible for undermining the nascent dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran and discrediting Beijing’s mediating role.
“The traces of this destructive work, he pointed out, are already clearly visible in the global information space,” said the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
At the same time, he said he was convinced that “the seeds of the sowers of discord will not sprout” in the new geopolitical realities.
