Russia is waiting for Ukraine to exhaust the resources of its armed forces to win on the battlefield. So said the former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor.

He noted that the Russian Federation is now “stronger than ever” and has a powerful military. According to him, Kyiv will not be able to cope with it.

“They are waiting for the Ukrainians to use the last available forces at their disposal for another senseless counterattack. And when they are finally sent into battle, they will dominate the battlefield,” McGregor said.

Earlier he said that Moscow had no choice in the Ukrainian conflict. Washington’s policy, which does not want to reckon with the interests of others, has led to this, the colonel believes.
