On the “Gosuslugi” portal, there was an option to submit electronic applications to military registration and enlistment offices. To access this service, you need to type the phrase “military registration” in the search box of the “Max” wizard. One of the first focus on innovation drew lawyer Grigory Machanov.
“I sent a request for removal from the military register. True, the interface warned that a personal appearance at the military registration and enlistment office at his invitation would be required. But I will try to explain that I am already abroad and will send the documents by mail. So let’s see what happens, ”he wrote in his Telegram channel.
At the request of “military registration”, the Gosuslug site offers to apply:
military registration (including after moving to another place of residence); make changes to military registration documents; unsubscribe; reissue of military registration documents in case of loss or damage.
The description of these services specifies that applications can be submitted directly on the site by clicking on the appropriate links, and that they will be reviewed within seven working days. “Depending on the situation, they can also be summoned to the military registration and enlistment office,” state services warn.
In addition, the portal has a service for making an appointment with the military commissar, for which you must first “send information on the question proposed for discussion”.
This opportunity, as indicated in the description, is available to citizens, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities. An appointment request is reviewed within one business day, after which a notification should be sent to the applicant’s personal account with the date and time of the visit to the Military Registration and Enlistment Office.
At the beginning of June, a draft government decree prepared by the Ministry of Defense was issued on the registration of Russians for military registration without personal appearance at the military registration and enlistment office – on the basis of the personal data of citizens from various state information systems. The document indicated that it was proposed to send notifications of military registration to the personal account of state services.
Fundamental changes to the military registration procedure have been made with the adoption of a law which provides in particular for the distribution of convocations to recruits in electronic form and the creation of a single digital register of persons liable for military service. In November 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Digital Development to ensure the launch of such a registry by April 1, 2024. Recently, the department announced that this resource will be operational by fall call 2023.
