Taylor Swift Requires Iron-Clad NDAs From All 1,100 Wedding Guests — and the July 3 Madison Square Garden Ceremony Is Already Leaking

The pop superstar personally called 1,100-plus guests last month and dispatched strict NDAs — but the secrecy surrounding the July 3 Madison Square Garden ceremony has already sprung leaks

Taylor Swift is leaving nothing to chance. With her July 3 wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden now weeks away, the pop superstar has required every invited guest to sign an iron-clad non-disclosure agreement before receiving any ceremony details — and the couple is reportedly already disappointed that some of those details have leaked anyway.

Swift personally called guests last month to invite them. Those who confirmed their attendance were then sent an electronic link to sign the NDA, which prohibits sharing any wedding specifics and carries consequences for violations, TMZ reported on June 12.

A Guest List Built for Scale

Between 1,100 and 1,200 guests are expected at the ceremony. Swift has said she wanted the celebration broad enough to invite “anyone I’ve ever talked to,” specifically to avoid the difficult calculus of a smaller, curated list. Confirmed attendees include singer Benson Boone and model Karlie Kloss. Actor Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry are reportedly unlikely to attend due to a reported rift between the two camps. Among the planned bridesmaids: Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid.

Why Madison Square Garden on July 4th Weekend

The choice of MSG — a 20,000-seat arena in Midtown Manhattan — may seem extravagant, but it is strategically sound. Swift has called New York home for years, and the venue’s built-in security infrastructure makes it far easier to lock down than a private estate or an overseas destination. The July 3 date falls squarely on Independence Day weekend, a period Swift has historically spent in the city. The venue also accommodates the couple’s stated preference for live music over a DJ set; potential performers are reported to include Ed Sheeran.

The Secrets That Won’t Stay Secret

Despite the NDAs, details keep surfacing. CNN described the overall planning as a “cloak and dagger” operation, noting Swift’s team is reportedly considering decoy locations and a strict no-cellphone policy at the venue. That secrecy has proved only partially effective: it was reported this week that Swift and Kelce are “disappointed” that some guests, without identifying themselves, have spoken to the press anyway.

How They Got Here

Swift and Kelce’s relationship began in the summer of 2023 and went public in September that year when she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium. He later appeared at multiple stops of her Eras Tour, including a surprise stage cameo in London in 2024. The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 with an Instagram post captioned “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” By March 2026, Kelce was at her side at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where Swift won seven awards including Artist of the Year. In her acceptance speech she credited her “fiancé, who’s here tonight.”

In an era when celebrity relationships are catalogued in real time, the couple’s determination to keep their wedding day private underscores how much the stakes have risen. The Hollywood Reporter noted that representatives for Swift and Madison Square Garden had not responded to requests for comment at the time of publication. July 3 is now less than three weeks away.

In a Hollywood summer already defined by major industry moves — including the Directors Guild of America’s landmark new contract and milestone music releases like Olivia Rodrigo’s genre-pivoting third album — the Swift-Kelce wedding has become the defining off-screen story of the season.
