LOS ANGELES – Dancing with the Stars kept every remaining couple in the competition on Dedication Night, turning the results announcement into a reprieve for the entire field. Amber Glenn led the judges’ leaderboard, but nobody was sent home after Tuesday’s performances, ABC News reported.
The October 20 episode left ten celebrity contestants in season 35. Its ending interrupted the weekly process that has reduced the cast since the Dancing with the Stars season premiere. This time, even the four couples sharing the lowest judges’ score were guaranteed another appearance.
Glenn and professional partner Pasha Pashkov earned 38 out of 40. Jenna Dewan, dancing with substitute partner Alan Bersten, and Ezra Frech, partnered with Daniella Karagach, followed on 37. The separation at the top was narrow: one point divided the leader from each of the two couples immediately behind her.
Those figures establish a judges’ leaderboard, not a ranking of audience support. They also show how tightly the strongest-scoring routines were grouped. Glenn’s lead over Dewan and Frech was smaller than the three-point gap separating Maura Higgins’s 35 from the four-way tie on 32 at the bottom of the table.
The result gives a new reference point for the season’s dance-experienced cast. Ability and familiarity can shape expectations before an episode, but this night’s recorded scores leave a more specific picture: ten surviving couples, five different scoring bands and no elimination to reduce the field.
Glenn’s contemporary routine to Sia’s “Breathe Me” was dedicated to her sister, Brooke. The choice placed a family relationship at the center of the performance rather than treating Dedication Night as an ordinary assignment of a dance style and song. Her leading score gave that personal tribute the evening’s strongest numerical result.
Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa earned 36 for a contemporary routine honoring Heath Ledger, her late co-star in 10 Things I Hate About You. ABC News explained the song choice: Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” connects the tribute to Ledger’s memorable serenade in the 1999 film.
The show’s official performance video preserves that link between the movie and the ballroom. It offers readers a way to see the routine itself rather than infer its meaning from the score alone. Stiles and Sosa finished level with Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson, who also received 36.
Tatyana Ali’s tribute looked back to another screen partnership. She honored her Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star James Avery, with co-host Alfonso Ribeiro joining the number. Ali and Jan Ravnik received 32. Her dance and Stiles’ performance shared a theme of remembrance, but the judges’ totals placed them in different parts of the leaderboard.
Other dedications broadened the evening beyond former colleagues. Higgins honored Ireland, Shum dedicated his dance to his wife, and several contestants chose their mothers. Connor Wood dedicated his performance to his father. The season 35 cast consequently brought markedly different relationships and memories to the same competitive format.
Tyler Cameron’s contemporary with Sharna Burgess carried an additional family announcement. Cameron and his fiancée, Tate Madden, revealed they are expecting a baby girl during the episode. ABC’s interview footage records the couple discussing the live reveal. Their personal news was separate from Cameron and Burgess’s judges’ total of 32.
Guest judge Kym Johnson-Herjavec joined the panel for Dedication Night. The totals below are out of 40 and describe this episode only. They are ordered by judges’ points; the order of tied couples should not be read as a viewer-vote ranking or an official combined competition standing.

The Hollywood Reporter’s live recap supplies the complete scores and reports that next week will bring a double elimination. Its account does not specify how this week’s viewer votes will be handled in the next results calculation, so the reprieve should not be described as a confirmed voting reset or carryover.
Dewan’s partner change is another distinction the table needs to preserve. Bersten danced with her in place of Val Chmerkovskiy, whose one-week absence followed a suspension announced by producer BBC Studios. Earlier coverage of Chmerkovskiy’s Dedication Night suspension concerns that separate development; Tuesday’s score belongs to Dewan and Bersten’s performance.
Jenna Dewan and Jenna Johnson are also different participants: Dewan is the celebrity contestant who received 37 with Bersten, while Johnson is the professional paired with Shum, whose routine received 36. Keeping those names and roles distinct matters in a recap that includes both an established partnership and a temporary replacement.
The immediate outcome is settled even where the next voting calculation remains unspecified. No couple was eliminated, Glenn finished first on judges’ points, and the full field survives into an episode reported to contain two departures. Dancing with the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
