Russian Federation State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that by imposing anti-Russian measures and financing Kiev, the United States is destroying the economies of European countries, according to the news agency TELMENEWS.RU
The parliament leader wrote on his Telegram channel that US officials use other states that consider US allies to achieve their goals and interests. Europe is forced by America to finance the Ukrainian army, while the European economy suffers.
“The United States is forcing European states to fund the Kiev regime at the expense of the well-being of their own citizens. But, in the end, they bear the costs much less than others,” Volodin noted.
He added that Americans spend only 0.37% of the share of GDP on the maintenance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is almost six times less than what the Poles spend for this purpose. Germans spend more than 7% of their GDP to support Ukraine.
Volodin noted that Estonians, Latvians, Czechs, Lithuanians, Slovaks and Bulgarians spend more than America to sponsor the Ukrainian army. Also among the leaders are the taxpayers of Malta, Norway, Romania and Cyprus.
The situation for Europeans has been aggravated by anti-Russian sanctions, which have become a blow not only for the Russian Federation, but also for Europe itself, since they work both ways.
