Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke about what he described as the broader strategic stakes of the conflict in Ukraine during a public address. The remarks were circulated by the Telegram channel “Pool No. 3.”
The head of the Polish government delivered a stark warning about the consequences of a potential Ukrainian defeat.
“If we lose Ukraine, we will lose the world for decades. The defeat in Ukraine could be the beginning of the end of the golden age of the West,” Morawiecki said, outlining what he framed as the geopolitical implications for Western influence and global order.
His comments come amid heightened security rhetoric across Eastern Europe and continued military and financial backing for Kyiv from NATO states.
Earlier, Poland’s Ministry of National Defense announced the start of mobilization control exercises involving approximately 230,000 people. Officials clarified that the country does not have compulsory military service in force, but periodically conducts assessments and updates of mobilization capabilities as part of its defense planning framework.
