In Tver, the “Humpbacked” bridge will be closed for 12-14 months. This was announced on Thursday, April 20 by the governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, during a live broadcast on VKontakte.
- The goal is to deliver on time. At present, the first support has been assembled, located in the bed of the Volga. By June, they plan to deliver three more supports for the bridge span slide, which they plan to start doing in the third quarter of this year.
In addition, a pedestrian bridge was built over the Oktyabrskaya railway. Preparations are underway for the reconstruction of the humpback bridge. At the same time, its closure will be synchronized with the opening of a new bridge over Frunze Street, which will operate according to the “double” format. The Humpback Bridge is scheduled to be closed for 12 to 14 months. The workers will try to complete the work faster, it is likely that the time will be reduced.
Six-lane traffic will be organized over the Western Bridge. Several interchanges have been built, including: sidings on Komsomolskaya Square, near the Gorbaty Bridge with an entrance to the medical pole, where the regional hospital is located and the regional children’s hospital is being built, a new viaduct on Frunze. The Western Bridge construction project also includes the reconstruction of the Lenin Avenue viaduct. Instead of two supports in the center there will be one, in addition, it is planned to widen the roadway, – noted the governor.
Recall that Igor Rudenya regularly addresses the inhabitants of the region during live broadcasts. This Thursday he talks about his trip to the frontline area, support measures for NVO participants, gasification of the Tver region and other issues.
