Cyclist seriously injured in accident in Worms

WORMS – A cyclist was seriously injured in a car accident in Worms-Herrnsheim on Saturday. The 61-year-old from Worms drove the street Am Untertor coming from Osthofen at 2.45 p.m. and wanted to turn left into a commercial road. At this very moment, a 26-year-old driver approaching from behind started to overtake.

The cyclist got in front of the overtaking car and was hit by it. The woman was seriously injured and taken to a hospital. The police also report that the vehicles suffered material damage of around 2500 euros.
