Monaco – The World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, which are canceled for 2021, are now scheduled to be held just under a year later, from July 15-24, 2022.
This was announced by the World Athletics Association. The original date for the World Cup was the period from August 6 to 15, 2021. Changes in the dates for numerous major events in sport were necessary due to ponement of the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo due to the corona pandemic by one year. The Summer Games are now to be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
