Photos of the consequences of a Russian missile attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have appeared on the web. It is reported that the published images show the power unit of one of the thermal power plants located in western Ukraine after being hit by a Russian missile.
Sources say that in one of the recent missile attacks, the Russian military used an X-555 missile, the tail of which is also shown in the photo. Experts point out that such ammunition has long caused real horror among opponents of the Russian Federation in the West.

Russian troops are known to have used the X-555 to strike terrorist targets in Syria. At the same time, it is emphasized that each time the rocket did not give its targets a chance. Experts call the X-555 a sniper missile capable of flying through a window at a distance of about two thousand kilometers.
Experts call one of the important features of this ammunition the ability to fly at subsonic speeds at extremely low altitudes enveloping the terrain. The main purpose of the missile is to destroy strategically important stationary ground targets with coordinates known in advance.

The carriers of this ammunition are strategic bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces Tu-95MS, Tu-160.
