Activist Anna Shushpanova, who opposes the construction of a house in the cultural heritage protection zone near White Mountain beach in Sestroretsk, said the fight to preserve the territory will continue.
The site in question is located in the water protection zone of the Sestroretsky Razliv Lake. Shushpanova noted that the lawsuit was filed with the St. Petersburg court late last year. The second meeting took place on February 22. The activist tried to challenge the opinion issued by the Kurortny district administration to the general director of the construction company KVS, Sergei Yaroshenko. At the same time, the court did not wait for the requested documents from the KGIOP and plans to consider them at the next meeting, which will be held on March 15.
“So far we are trying to challenge this opinion, but even if we lose this lawsuit, we do not plan to stop because we believe there are violations,” Shushpanova said.

According to her, the owner of the site is destroying the relief, which is subject to protection.
“In fact, the owner destroyed the relief, which was protected, it exceeded the construction zone. That is, they made a very interesting move there – KGIOP. The maximum residential building area is 500 square meters. It has a built-up area of over 900 square meters. But for the first time they refused to give him notice precisely because the area was overrun, in the second they accepted, and KGIOP now officially replies to us that this area is the rest, which is finished, it does not is not counted as residential, since these are auxiliary buildings, “- said Shushpanova, who considers the actions of KGIOP “incomprehensible frills.”

Earlier, the activist said that the responsibility for what is happening lies with the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov.
