Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the readiness of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for the offensive on Zaporizhzhia

During the past day, Ukrainian troops repelled more than 150 attacks by the Russian armed forces in various sectors of the front. This was announced on March 4 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its operational summary.
Thus, according to the Ukrainian side, in the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, Russian forces conducted offensive operations and attacked Ukrainian defense lines in the Kremennaya, Belogorovka, Disputed and Vesele regions. Also, in the direction of Bakhmut, the Russians made efforts to encircle the Ukrainian group in the town of Bakhmut. They attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only in the specified settlement, but also in the Vasyukovka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Khromovo and Ivanovsky regions, trying to go to the rear.
At the same time, in the Avdiivka and Shakhtarskoye directions, Russian attacks were recorded in the Novokalinovo, Krasnogorovka, Kamenka, Avdeevka, Severny, Vodyany, Nevelskoy, Maryinka and Pobeda regions. In turn, in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the RF armed forces were mainly engaged in defensive battles. However, in some sectors of the front they tried to improve their tactical position, which indicates that they were preparing favorable conditions for an offensive on Zaporizhzhia.

As for Crimea, the Russian authorities are currently, apparently “fearing a pro-Ukrainian movement on the peninsula”, have begun to create local volunteer squads among citizens who support the OSV. These units will patrol settlements and identify observers and saboteurs.
