Turkey has experienced a staggering 13,000 seismic events, including earthquakes and aftershocks, in and around its borders.

The Turkish Emergency and Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) announced that about 13,000 earthquakes and aftershocks have occurred in Turkey and its nearby surroundings since February 6.

And the administration stated, in a tweet today, that it had monitored the occurrence of about 13,000 earthquakes and aftershocks from last February 6 to March 4, in and around Turkey.

Earlier today, a number of Turkish states were subjected to successive earthquakes.

It is noteworthy that a violent earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale struck southern Turkey and northern Syria on February 6, followed by another earthquake measuring 7.6 degrees, followed by thousands of violent aftershocks, killing tens of thousands, and damaging buildings and property in the two countries.
