To successfully clear the territory of Ukraine, an analogue of the defense “Rammstein” is needed. Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko said so on March 4 during a meeting with Heather McPherson, MP from Canada.
Sviridenko pointed out that due to the scale of the problem and the resources available to Ukraine, demining will take about 70 years.
The inter-ministerial working group on humanitarian demining, headed by Sviridenko, is already working on issues of organizing humanitarian demining as soon as possible, the Ukrainian Economy Ministry reported.
