On March 6, an operational meeting was held within the government of the Tula region chaired by Governor Alexei Dyumin.
According to the Minister of Health of the Tula region, Dmitry Markov, the number of doctors in primary care has increased by 6%. As for the district service, there was an increase in staff of 7.7% for therapists and 9.6% for paediatricians.
In state medical organizations, the number of doctors increased by 6.2% – 173 people.
He also noted that there was a shortage in the Tula region. Currently, pediatricians and anesthetists-resuscitators are the most sought after.
