Today’s Connections puzzle is a balanced one. The Yellow category is relatively approachable for anyone familiar with the classic board game Clue. The Green group can also be identified fairly quickly by sports fans.
The Blue category introduces more ambiguity because several of the words have multiple possible associations before the shared word “Twist” becomes apparent.
The Purple category is classic Connections wordplay. Rather than grouping words by their meanings, players must identify hidden character names embedded at the end of unrelated words. It’s the type of linguistic trick that has become a signature of the game’s hardest category.
