During the meeting, Zelenskyyy asked Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and Commander of the Khortytsya Group Oleksandr Syrsky about the future actions of the Ukrainian army in the Bakhmut region (until 2016, Artemivsk).The officers spoke out in favor of continuing the fighting for the city and announced the need to transfer additional reserves to this sector of the front, where the hardest fighting in the Donbass was taking place.Previously, the American and European media actively disseminated information about the conflict between Zelenskyyy and Zaluzhny. The publications claimed that the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces had actively advocated the withdrawal of the remaining troops from the city and that the Ukrainian president had insisted that the fighting should continue.
