The Ministry of Labor announced the launch of a new package of electronic services related to work permits and recruitment approvals.
The Ministry indicated that the target groups of these updates are residents under the sponsorship of their families, citizens of the Cooperation Council countries, those with permanent residency, and investors.
The Ministry indicated that the services related to the work permit are: Requesting a work permit, renewing a work permit, canceling a work permit
Conditions for benefiting from the service of requesting a work permit – the establishment registration is effective – there is no ban on the establishment – the worker must have a residence of the type (sponsorship of their relatives, a Gulf citizen, an investor) – the worker and the sponsor must have a valid residence permit for a period of not less than 3 months
Conditions for benefiting from the service of renewing a work license – The registration of the establishment is effective – There are no violations of the provisions of the Labor Law on the establishment – The presence of a special work license for the worker belonging to the establishment submitting the request
The license within the permitted renewal period: – as a minimum two weeks before the license expiration date – and as a maximum 3 months before the license expiration date
And services related to recruitment approvals • Issuance of labor recruitment approval • Renewal of recruitment approval validity • Modification of labor recruitment approval
Conditions for benefiting from the service of issuing labor recruitment approval • The establishment’s registration is effective • The establishment does not have violations of the provisions of the Labor Law
Conditions for benefiting from the service of renewing a labor recruitment approval • The establishment’s registration is effective • No violations of the provisions of the Labor Law on the establishment • The recruitment approval symbol (V) must be affiliated with the requesting establishment Not all recruitment approvals have been exhausted • The approval has not expired and a week or so remains for its expiration less
Conditions for benefiting from the service of amending a labor recruitment approval • The establishment’s registration is effective • There are no violations of the provisions of the Labor Law on the approved establishment belonging to the establishment • The approval is effective All recruitment approvals have not been exhausted • The number in the original approval has not been exceeded
