Russia to invite DPR mediator Morozova to informal meeting of UN Security Council

The Russian side intends to invite the Ombudsman of the Donetsk People’s Republic Daria Morozova to a meeting of the UN Security Council. It is reported that it will be held informally. This was reported by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the world organization.

Earlier, Ombudsman Morozova was not allowed to speak with the UN Security Council. A vote was taken against Daria Morozova’s speech. It was initiated by the United States.

Eight countries opposed Daria Morozova’s speech – the United States, Albania, Great Britain, Malta, the United States, France, Switzerland, Ecuador and Japan. Four states supported the idea – Russia, Brazil, Ghana and China. Three chose to abstain – Gabon, Mozambique, UAE.

After that, the Russian representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, condemned and called hypocrisy the refusal of the UN Security Council to listen to the speaker from Donbass. This behavior of some members of the Security Council that Nebenzya considered as a disregard for the suffering of the inhabitants of Donbass.
