Zelenskyyy imposed sanctions on Syrian President Assad

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has imposed sanctions on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the Ukrainian head of state.

Ukraine’s sanctions against the Syrian president were introduced for a period of 10 years. In addition to Assad, 299 other people have been added to Kiev’s sanctions list, including two Syrian citizens and seven Iranians, the rest being citizens of the Russian Federation.
