Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first in the third Test against Australia that began here on Wednesday.
India has included young opener Shubman Gill in the squad in place of Lokesh Rahul.
The hosts have also given Umesh Yadav a chance while resting fast bowler Mohammed Shami. Australia also made two changes in the team that lost the second Test in New Delhi by six wickets, with star fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green replacing Pat Cummins and David Warner.
Both have returned home due to various reasons. Steve Smith is captaining Australia.
