Volgograd schoolchildren take part in the All-Russian Olympiad “Conquer the Sparrow Hills!”

On March 31, the second round of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren “Conquer the sparrow hills!” started in Volgograd. Schoolchildren and candidates have already tested their knowledge of geography and journalism; on April 1, they will write essays on history, literature and physics. April 2 will be the last step in mathematics. This is the biggest, about 50 people entered it.

This is the first face-to-face stage in recent years, which takes place in the regions with the visit of a jury of experts.

The All-Russian Olympiad has been held for 19 consecutive years, according to its results, schoolchildren from the Russian hinterland can enter the main universities of the country without an exam. This year, 18,000 school children take part, 300 people will become the winners.

The head of the Vorobyovy Gory Olympics regional venue in Volgograd, Daniil Naprasnikov, said his main task and that of his colleagues was to search for gifted young people.

– Historically, the most talented contingent enters the University of Moscow through the Olympiads. This is good luck for guys who have already decided on the choice of their future profession, are ready for tests of increased complexity and want, if not to secure a place in the leading university of the country, then to increase their chances , Naprasnikov explained.

The youth of Volgograd has an active life position and is distinguished by good acquaintances. Every year, more than 100,000 children take part in the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren. The regional system includes 57 Olympiads in all school subjects, as well as local history, drawing and financial literacy.
